Yoro Kobayashi's World Cup Project

Former Japan national football team player, Yoro Kobayashi, invited two young boys to watch the World Cup. He introduced a project where he invited two young players from a junior high school club that won a tournament he organized to watch the Japan-Netherlands match (2-2) at the Dallas Stadium in the United States.

The Boys' Excitement

Kobayashi's goal is to encourage the boys to aim for the world's highest stage, rather than just the J-League. He worked on his first-ever World Cup live report while spending time with the boys, and they watched a video of Lionel Messi's goal together. They also participated in the Japan national team's practice and received encouragement from players like Koji Higashi and Hiroki Sakai.

Participating in Japan's Practice

The boys were excited to meet the players and participate in the practice. At the end of the trip, they gave Kobayashi a letter, and he promised to show it to them in an interview eight years later.
