Move to New Club, Aston Villa
English Premier League club Aston Villa announced on the 19th that they have signed Japan national team goalkeeper Suzuki Aya (23) from Italian Serie A club Parma. Aston Villa finished 4th in the Premier League last season and won the European League. They will participate in the UEFA Champions League (CL) this season.
Suzuki Aya's Characteristics
Suzuki Aya, standing at 190cm, is known for his dynamic saves and long-range kicks. He made his professional debut with J1 club Urawa Red Diamonds after rising through the youth ranks. He moved to Belgian club Sint-Truiden in the summer of 2023 and then to Parma in the summer of 2024. He has made a total of 28 appearances for the national team, including serving as the starting goalkeeper for the World Cup North America and Central America tournament.
